More than 40,000 cherry trees take their place in the city streets of Vancouver. The beauty of these cherry trees blossoms every spring beginning from the last weeks of March until the middle weeks of April. Here are activities that happen during the Cherry Blossom Festival in Vancouver:

Petal Picnic

Join a group of people viewing the cherry trees blossom at the best spots for a good glimpse of the trees’ beauty. In fact, there is a map that leads you to more than 2,100 locations all over Vancouver. Moreover, lunch pre-orders are available for your convenience.

Bike the Blossoms

You can actually ride a bike and join a free tour with a group. The tour begins in Trout Lake and takes you wherever the arborist of Vancouver Park wants to lead you. He/she can take you to Riley Park, Strathcona, and Mount Pleasant.

Spring Lights Illumination

This is an event good for two illuminating nights happening at the Queen Elizabeth Park. The event comes along with displays of light, giving life to cherry blossoms at night along with music playing, dancing, and story-telling of the city’s heritage.

Sakura Night

Enjoy a fusion of Asian dishes at Stanley Park with some of the best chefs in Vancouver. Just don’t forget to wear a pink tie for their dress code.
